What Does My Body Look Like? See It From Your Numbers

Numbers on a scale or a tape measure are hard to picture. This body visualizer turns your height, weight and measurements into a body you can turn around in 3D, and shows your BMI, waist-to-hip ratio, waist-to-height ratio and body shape as you go.

If you searched for "what does my body look like" or "what does my weight look like at my height", start with height and weight, then add your bust or chest, waist and hip. Type your numbers, watch the body change, and spin it to see the front, side and back.

It shows proportion, not a photograph. Two people with the same numbers can still look different, because a tool like this cannot know about muscle, posture or bone structure. Treat it as a clear visual reference.

How This 3D Body Visualizer Works

The body is built from horizontal slices. At the shoulders, bust, waist, high hip and hip, each slice is an ellipse whose circumference matches the number you typed. The width and depth of each ellipse come from that circumference and typical front-to-back proportions, and the slices are joined into one smooth surface. The rings on the body show where your tape measurements sit.

Your height sets how tall the body is, and the ruler beside it is drawn to real scale, so a taller person really is taller in the frame and a shorter one is smaller. Weight works through your BMI: a higher BMI makes the arms, legs and neck fuller as well as the torso, and a lower one makes them slimmer. If you add your inseam, the legs and torso share that height in your proportions, so a longer inseam means longer legs and a shorter torso. Neck, upper arm and thigh are optional and change those parts of the drawing. Whatever you leave out uses typical proportions for your height and weight.

Auto-balance keeps your proportions when height or weight changes: the other measurements are rescaled with them. Turn it off to change one value at a time. The Women, Men and Neutral models differ in shoulders, chest, waist, hips, legs, neck and head, and Neutral sits halfway between the two. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is scanned.

The 3D view uses WebGL, which modern phones, tablets and computers support. If your device or browser does not, the visualizer switches to a 2D outline on its own.

How to Use the Body Visualizer

  1. Choose a model and unitsPick Women, Men or Neutral, and inches and pounds or centimetres and kilograms. Switching units converts what you have already entered.
  2. Enter height and weightType them or drag the sliders. The weight range follows your height, from BMI 16 to BMI 60, and the BMI appears at once.
  3. Add your measurementsBust or chest, waist and hip. Open More measurements for high hip, shoulders, neck, upper arm, thigh and inseam.
  4. Or start from a shapeTap a shape under Try a shape to set a typical pattern at your hip size, then adjust it.
  5. Turn the bodyDrag it, use the Rotate slider, or tap Front, ¾, Side and Back. Spin keeps it turning slowly, and the arrow keys turn it a step at a time. The 2D button gives you a flat outline.
  6. CompareChoose Compare to see two bodies side by side, or Overlay to lay Body B over Body A. Use Edit A and Edit B to change each one, Copy A→B to start B from A, and Swap to flip them.
  7. Read the analysisThe cards beside the body (under it on a phone) show your BMI, waist-to-hip ratio, waist-to-height ratio, an estimated body fat percentage and your shape, and the Full breakdown below explains each one.
  8. Change the lookTurn the measurement rings and the height ruler on or off, and pick a body colour.
  9. Save or shareCopy a link that reopens your numbers, or download an image.

BMI Visualizer: What Your BMI Looks Like

Body mass index (BMI) compares your weight with your height: weight in pounds divided by height in inches squared, times 703, or kilograms divided by metres squared. For adults 20 and older the CDC groups it into four categories. BMI is a screening measure, not a diagnosis, and it cannot tell muscle from fat.

Adult BMI categories (CDC)
CategoryBMI
UnderweightBelow 18.5
Healthy weight18.5 to 24.9
Overweight25.0 to 29.9
Obesity30.0 or higher (class 1: 30 to 34.9, class 2: 35 to 39.9, class 3: 40 and above)

Same weight, different heights

Weight alone says little about how a body looks. At 150 pounds, a person who is 5′2″ has a BMI of about 27.4, while a person who is 5′10″ has a BMI of about 21.5 and a visibly leaner outline. To see it yourself, choose Compare, set Body A to 62 in and 150 lb, then set Body B to 70 in and 150 lb.

Healthy weight range by height

This converts the CDC healthy range (BMI 18.5 to 24.9) into pounds and kilograms for common adult heights. The visualizer shows the same range under your height.

BMI has limits. It does not know your frame, muscle or where you carry weight, so pair it with waist measurements, and ask a health professional if you are concerned. Your body frame matters too: two people at the same height and BMI can look very different.

Body Proportions Explained

Your proportions are the ratios between your measurements, not the numbers themselves. The same shape can appear at very different sizes, and two people with the same waist can look completely different depending on the bust and hip either side of it. That is what the visualizer draws.

RatioWhat it tells you
Bust to hipBust minus hip, in inchesClose together with a much smaller waist reads as hourglass. A wider hip leans pear, spoon or bottom hourglass.
Waist to hipWaist divided by hipA screening ratio. The WHO uses 0.85 for women and 0.90 for men as the cut-off for increased health risk.
Shoulders to hipShoulders minus hip, in inchesThe main measure for men: 5 in or more is an inverted triangle, 2 to 5 in a trapezoid, and a wider hip a triangle.
High hip to waistHigh hip divided by waistA high hip at least 1.193 times the waist, and close to the hip, creates the shelf that defines a spoon.
Waist to heightWaist divided by heightKeeping your waist under half your height (below 0.50) is a common rule of thumb. The visualizer shows it beside your BMI.
Leg to torsoInseam divided by heightAt the same height, a longer inseam means longer legs and a shorter torso. Add your inseam to see the difference.

Each ratio has its own guide. Read about the waist-to-hip ratio and the waist-to-height ratio, or see how every shape looks side by side in the body shapes guide.

Female Body Visualizer

In Women mode the visualizer uses height, weight, bust, waist, high hip and hip, and names your shape from the same rules as our calculators: hourglass, top hourglass, bottom hourglass, spoon, pear, inverted triangle, apple or rectangle. The high hip is what separates a spoon from a pear, so add it if you can. Shoulders are optional and only change the drawing, not the shape name.

For a full result with styling ideas, use the female body shape calculator.

Male Body Visualizer

Switch to Men and enter your chest, waist and hip. Add your shoulders, measured all the way around, for the most reliable result, because male builds are decided by the gap between shoulders and hip. The visualizer shows a male body and names one of five builds: inverted triangle, trapezoid, rectangle, triangle or oval.

For fit and style advice by build, use the male body shape calculator.

The Neutral model

Neutral sits halfway between the women and men bodies. Use it when neither fits, or to compare two people of different sexes in the same scene, since each body in Compare has its own model.

Compare Two Bodies: A/B and Overlay

Compare draws two bodies side by side at the same scale and angle, so differences in height and weight show. Overlay lays Body B over Body A as a translucent outline so every difference stands out. Both add a table of changes below the tool.

  • Height and weight comparison: set each body's model, height and weight, and see how two people compare.
  • Before and after: tap Copy A→B, change B, and see the difference.
  • Measurement change: try a waist that is 2 in smaller, or a hip 1 in larger, and watch the ratios move.

A plus sign in the table means Body B is larger than Body A at that point. Goal bodies are references, not targets, and no shape or size is better than another. The visualizer does not draw bodies below BMI 16. If you are thinking about changing your weight, talk to a doctor or registered dietitian first.

Body Visualizer vs Body Simulator vs BMI Visualizer

People use these names for different things. Here is how they differ in practice.

ToolWhat it does
Body visualizerTurns your measurements into a figure so you can see your proportions.
Body simulator, maker or generatorUsually the same idea under another name: numbers in, body out. This one is not an AI generator: it never sees a photo and the same numbers always give the same body.
3D body visualizerShows a body you can rotate. This page has a 3D view and a 2D outline.
BMI visualizerShows a body for a height and weight. On its own it cannot see shape, so two people with the same BMI can look very different. Here you can add measurements on top of height and weight.
Body shape calculatorNames your shape from your measurements without drawing it. Our body type calculator does this for women and men.

Shapes You Can Compare

Tap any of these under Try a shape, or set Body B to one in Compare mode. This is what sets each one apart in the silhouette itself.

  • Hourglass body shape: bust and hip curves land almost on the same line, with the waist pulling sharply inward between them.
  • Pear body shape: the hip curve reaches out past the shoulder and bust lines while the upper body stays narrow and straight.
  • Spoon body shape: like a pear at first glance, but with a visible ledge just under the waist where the high hip widens.
  • Inverted triangle body shape: shoulder and bust lines are the widest point, narrowing steadily to the hip.
  • Rectangle body shape: shoulder, bust and hip lines sit close together with only a slight waist taper.
  • Apple body shape: the waist line comes out as wide as, or wider than, the bust and hip, so the fullest point sits in the middle.

How Accurate Is the Body Visualizer?

  • The figure is illustrative. Each slice of the torso has the circumference you entered, so the proportions between your bust, waist and hip are true to your numbers. Depth, arms, legs and head use typical proportions unless you add measurements.
  • BMI is a screening measure. It should be read with other factors and cannot separate muscle from fat.
  • Body fat is an estimate. It uses the U.S. Navy circumference method, which needs height, waist and neck (and hip for women). If you leave neck blank, a typical neck for your size is used. Individual results can be off by several percentage points, so use it to watch trends rather than as a measurement.
  • Adults only. BMI categories apply to adults 20 and older. Children and teens need age and sex specific percentiles, and pregnancy changes the picture too.
  • Not medical advice. If a number worries you, ask a health professional.

Nothing you enter is uploaded or stored. The share link puts your numbers in the address itself, so share it only with people you trust.

Body Visualizer FAQ

What is a body visualizer?
A body visualizer is a tool that turns your height, weight and body measurements into a figure, so you can see your proportions instead of only reading numbers.
Is this really 3D?
Yes. The body is a 3D model you can drag to rotate through front, three-quarter, side and back views. It runs in your browser with no plugin. If your device does not support WebGL, the visualizer shows a 2D outline instead.
Does it use height and weight?
Yes. Height sets the size of the body, and weight sets how full it looks through your BMI. Add bust or chest, waist and hip to match a specific body, and the optional measurements for finer detail. The BMI, waist-to-hip ratio, waist-to-height ratio, an estimated body fat percentage and your body shape update as you type.
Why does the whole body change when I change my weight or height?
Because they are part of the picture. Height changes the size of the body in the frame, shown against a real-scale ruler, and weight changes the BMI, which makes the whole body fuller or slimmer, including arms, legs and neck. The sliders for bust or chest, waist and hip only offer values that are usual for your height and weight, so the body stays believable. If yours is outside that range, change height or weight first.
What is Auto-balance?
When it is on, changing height or weight rescales your other measurements and keeps your proportions, which is handy for what-if tests. Turn it off to change one value at a time.
How do I compare two bodies?
Choose Compare for side by side, or Overlay to lay Body B over Body A. Use Edit A and Edit B to set each body's model, height, weight and measurements. Both are drawn at the same scale, and a table shows every difference.
What does my weight look like at my height?
Enter your height and weight and the body appears with typical proportions for those numbers. For a closer match, add your measurements. To see two options, use Compare and change only the weight of Body B.
Can I use it as a weight loss or weight gain simulator?
You can preview a before and after: copy Body A to Body B and change B. Treat the result as a rough reference, not a target. The visualizer does not draw bodies below BMI 16, and it cannot tell you what is right for your health. Talk to a doctor or registered dietitian before setting a weight goal.
Can I use it as a female or male body visualizer?
Yes. Choose Women, Men or Neutral. Women mode names one of eight shapes and Men mode names one of five builds, each with its own body model. Neutral sits halfway between the two.
Is it an AI body generator?
No. It does not guess your body from a photo and never receives one. The same numbers always produce the same body.
How accurate is the body fat estimate?
It uses the U.S. Navy circumference method and can be off by several percentage points for an individual. Use it to watch changes over time rather than as a medical measurement.
What is a body simulator?
Another name for the same idea. Body simulator, body maker, body generator and measurements visualizer all describe turning numbers into a body you can see.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. On a phone the body and your live BMI, ratio and shape stay pinned at the top while you change the numbers below. Drag the body to turn it.
Why can't I see the 3D body?
Your browser or device probably has WebGL switched off or unsupported. Update the browser or try another one. In the meantime the 2D outline shows the same numbers.
Are my measurements stored?
No. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is sent to a server. If you use Copy share link, the link contains your numbers, so share it only with people you trust.
